Worship

Our Sunday morning services are normally a traditional service of hymns (modern and traditional), prayers, readings and a sermon. Our Junior Church joins us for the first part of the service before moving on to its own activities in the hall.

Sunday evenings are more varied with regular Songs of Praise services, sometimes with classic traditional hymns, sometimes with only modern hymns, and often a mixture. There are cafe style worship services and quiet healing services.

Communion takes place once a month in the morning and once in the evening, and the style and liturgy will vary to reflect our traditions and the new liturgies thet have become popular, especially from the Iona community.

Our semons seek to be both encouraging and challenging. We do not offer overly-simplistic answers to the very complex questions of life and faith. We grapple with the realities of life and the revelations from God in science, history, literary criticism, philosophy and many other areas of life. We seek seek to be inclusive in the same way that Jesus was inclusive in his ministry and to reject dangerous fundamentalism.

We shall develop technology to enhance the worship experience.
